There’s a directness - a flow of energy, from my hands to the sculpture that’s captured as an engaging story.

Art helps us connect with ideas that can overwhelm us in other forms.  This is particularly true with regard to climate change.  We switch off from the news, feel disconnected from nature and question our ability to make a difference.

My sculptures are a response to that gap, enabling these ideas to be explored with compassion and hope - fundamental elements to facing and shaping change.

STORYTELLER

I create public art that tells stories, with environmental and social themes that provide a sense of place and connection within communities.

TECHNICAL INNOVATOR

I developed a confidence in mechanical and structural innovation as a teenager. I have a restless curiosity to invent, problem solve and create works on any scale.
